Ergon Energy Mackay has 6 apprenticeships on offer commencing in February 2026. Our applications open 13th June 2025.

We are encouraging as many current Year 12 students to apply. To provide further information on our apprenticeships, we are holding a Depot Open Day for interested Year 12 students on Wednesday 28th May, commencing at 3.30 pm. The address of our depot is 23 Cemetery Road, West Mackay.

This session will be approximately 1.5 hours in duration and will include:

• An information session on obtaining an apprenticeship with Ergon Energy and our entry requirements

• A day in the life of an apprentice

• The benefits of obtaining an apprenticeship

• Live demonstrations on pole climbing, “bucket work”, tool work and lots more

• Students must wear closed in shoes if attending
