Investiture
Last week we held our Investiture Ceremony. Investiture is a significant event that marks the official recognition of leadership within a school community. It is a moment of pride and responsibility, especially for Year 12 students as they receive their senior badges, including those appointed as prefects and school captains. These badges symbolise their role as leaders, setting an example for younger students through dedication, integrity, and service. We also had the great pleasure of awarding our 2024 Dux Lachlan Peach. Lachlan shared the powerful messages of diverse pathways and embracing variety with the incoming Year 12s. Leadership is not just about authority but more importantly inspiring others, fostering teamwork and making a positive impact. As they step into these prestigious roles, Year 12 students, along with the prefects and school captains, embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with guiding their peers and upholding the values of their school.
Year 11 Retreat - Reminder
We are excited to remind parents, carers and students about the Year 11 Retreat in Week 9 of Term 2! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to connect, reflect and build valuable skills for their personal and academic growth. To secure a spot, students were given their Expression of Interest (EOI) forms last week, and we ask that these be completed and returned as soon as possible to confirm attendance.
Please note that a minimum of 45 participants is required for the retreat to proceed. We would like to thank the families who have already returned their EOI forms. Your prompt attention is greatly appreciated!
In an effort to make the retreat more affordable, we are launching our fundraising initiatives this week with chocolate boxes. All Year 11 students are encouraged to participate in this fundraising activity to help reduce the cost.
